If you’re traveling this summer, you’re not alone.
The recently conducted AAA Consumer Pulse™ survey shows the majority of Florida residents (65%) plan to take a summer vacation of four days or more between May and September—an eight percent increase from last summer.
Unfortunately, there is no advantage to traveling by road or by air in terms of crowds.
The survey showed an almost even split between Floridian travelers who plan to drive (49%) and those who plan to fly (46%).
In terms of spending, almost half of Florida travelers (48%) plan to spend $1,000 or less, with two in five (41%) spending $1,001 to $3,000 and 12 percent spending more than $3,000 on their vacation.
The top five vacation destinations for Florida travelers were
1.Beach getaways (36%)
2.City destination (33%)
3.Theme park/attraction (28%)
4.Family Reunion (22%)
