NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (May 16, 2013) – Have some extra time this summer? Then volunteer with Gulfside Regional Hospice! Gulfside is holding volunteer orientations in May for new volunteers.

Through the orientations, participants will learn about the valuable role Gulfside Regional Hospice serves in our community, and the various volunteer opportunities available to help care for patients and families during their most difficult times.

Other volunteer opportunities are available at Gulfside’s administrative offices and at any of the five Gulfside Regional Hospice Thrift Shoppes, which are in desperate need of volunteers for the summer with the seasonal volunteers leaving.

The orientations are scheduled for:

  • Wednesday, May 29 from 9 a.m. – noon at the new Lutz Thrift Shoppe location (1930 Land O’Lakes Blvd.) for new Thrift Shoppe volunteers
  • Thursday, May 30 from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Gulfside’s East Administrative Office (37826 Sky Ridge Circle) for new Thrift Shoppe and office volunteers

Reservations are required as space is limited at the orientations. To reserve your spot at any of the orientations, call Gulfside’s volunteer managers Kathie Poole at 727-845-5707 for the New Port Richey class or Jennifer Ball at 813-780-1235 for the east and central Pasco orientations.

Gulfside Regional Hospice, established as a nonprofit corporation in Pasco County in 1988 and initially licensed in 1989, serves more than 375 patients daily.
